COST OF LIVING • HOUSING AFFORDABILITY

That’s what it costs to carry a median-priced home in America right now—principal and interest on a $410,700 house at 6.76%, the rate Freddie Mac posted last Thursday. Five years ago, the median home ran you $1,525 a month. Same deal… same 30-year fixed… $609 more every single month. On Wednesday, the Fed is expected to raise rates for the first time since July 2023. If you’ve got kids or grandkids trying to buy their first place, they already feel every dollar of that gap—and it’s about to widen.

The reason to pay attention comes before the price chart: what creates demand for the asset in the first place?

In his New Money Grid video, Andy makes the case. It also introduces The Edge, his paid research newsletter.

Watch his explanation before deciding whether this opportunity belongs on your research list.

That extra $609 a month didn’t buy your kids a bigger kitchen or a better school district—it bought them nothing but a higher interest rate.
